WreckedLives.org.uk is a not for profit website run by historian author & nostalgia writer Rob Blann.

If you choose to submit your story to us, you will be providing your name, e-mail address and any other information you wish to disclose within the story you provide.
Your IP address is automatically collected by the webserver and saved in access/error logs.

3. How do we use the information collected?
Your name and story will be published on the website to be viewed by other readers.
IP addresses are not used unless there is a problem which requires investigation of the server logs to identify malicious IP addresses in order to block them.

4. What if I don't provide some or all of the information requested?
This will impact on our ability to provide the services the website is intended for and you may not be able to use some of the features.

5. Will we share your information?
We do not sell or share information with third parties unless required to do so in a request from law enforcement: however, where users have submitted stories, that information will publicly viewable to other users of the website.
E-mail addresses are not shared with anyone unless required to do so in a request from law enforcement.

Display of user generated content: Consent & Legitimate interest.
IP address: Our legitimate interest to protect and maintain access and the integrity of the website.

7. How is my personal data safe?
All traffic through the site is sent over a secure encrypted connection using SSL.
Database backups are stored in an encrypted format.

8. Where is my data stored?
The website server is located in the U.K..
Backup data is also stored in the U.K..

9. Marketing
We do not participate in marketing of any kind.

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under Data Protection Legislation in relation to your personal data.
